Landing page teardown

3 sections we'd A/B test on loom.com

Our AI's read of https://www.loom.com/ on October 21, 2026. Previews use the page's own stylesheets with scripts switched off, so animations and widgets won't run. The redesigns are untested ideas, not results, and Patchwork isn't affiliated with loom.com.

Section 1

Hero

What's holding it back
The headline is a familiar proverb that never says what Loom does or what the visitor gets. The hero markup contains no sign-up link and no proof, so the first 'Get Loom for free' button and the 400,000-companies claim only appear in the next section.
What we'd test
If we lead with a concrete record-and-share promise, put 'Get Loom for free' and 'Download the app' in the hero and add the 400,000-companies line with recognisable logos, then hero-to-signup click-through will improve because visitors immediately understand the product, see a clear next step and see that companies like theirs already use it.

Section 2

Customer logos

What's holding it back
Twenty-seven grey logos sit behind a fade and a 'View more' button, so the strongest names (Tesla, Disney, Goldman Sachs) blur into a wall nobody reads. The only sign-up button sits above the logos, before the visitor has absorbed the proof.
What we'd test
If we show a curated set of the most recognisable logos and move the free sign-up button below them, then clicks on 'Get Loom for free' from this section will improve because visitors get the proof first and the button arrives at the moment their trust is highest.

Section 3

Security CTA

What's holding it back
The security features that IT buyers check for (SSO, SCIM, custom data retention, privacy settings) are buried in one sentence. The only button is a vague 'Learn more', so evaluators get no scannable checklist and no clear next step.
What we'd test
If we turn the security sentence into a scannable checklist and replace 'Learn more' with a specific security link plus a free sign-up option, then clicks from this section will improve because security reviewers can confirm the features they need at a glance and see exactly where each button leads.
